Been sorting through a bunch of older images in our collection, many are getting worked up and moving toward our stock agency, Aurora Photos. Ran across this pic of Trish doing her kung fu kick out in the desert and had to post it, from a couple years back, but still a good one. In our home we have a wall of Trish pics where she is jumping or just goofing around and this will be the newest addition to the wall, that said we want you all to take a goofy pic of yourself today and find a place to hang it in your home...

And she jumped over the moon, I mean burning hot car.....

Now that the year has officially kicked off for us I thought I'd start if off with a little Trish action from last night, Trish giving a little tribute to M.J.

Just a little something to warm up your inside, we're having some crazy weather in Vegas, loving it...  
 

This time of year we don't shoot many weddings, but that doesn't mean we're not working like crazy. Things have been really crazy for us lately and we'll fill you all in soon. Being as over the Holidays we enjoy a little down time I thought it'd be a good idea to grow a very sparse beard, so today I thought I'd try a different look, hmmmm. Ended up shaving it all off after this pic was taken due to a couple important shoots coming up......

When we moved into our neighborhood one of the first people we meet was a man named Phil, living in Las Vegas it seems that most neighbors go out of their way to be unfriendly and not very welcoming. Well that was the total opposite of Phil and his lovely wife Judy, over the years we have spent time chatting it up while getting the mail, doing yard work and making it a point to go out of our way to see how they are doing, they have become friends and great neighbors. Unfortunately Phli passed away a few days ago...today we wanted to share a little something that Phil and Judy's son passed along our way at his memorial, give and get a hug, it's free.  
 
Phil we will always remember you........and here's a hug from us....  

Blog readers know we're addicted to skiing, each year we take several trips in hopes of finding the greatest snow on earth, we'll let you all know once we find it.... Anyway since we worked right up and through the Holidays we both felt like we needed a little R&R and the canyons outside Salt Lake City were just what we needed. The skiing was awesome, the company top-notch, and the snow was, well, o.k., not great but pretty darn good. Our little mini trip was cut short once again as we needed to rush back to Vegas to shoot an assignment tomorrow, enjoy the pics we shot with our little point and shoot ski cam.......  

Some really exciting news for my family came about six months ago; the news that my big brother Tony and his lovely girlfriend Heather were going to be welcoming a new member to our family! (get ready for a long blog post...)  
 
So, today, literally two weeks before the baby is due, Tony finally found some time to do a quick 30 minute maternity session for the two of them to remember this super cool event in their lives.... What's so exciting about this? We'll, my other best friend and brother Pete has been married for about 20 years now to a wonderful woman, had a few kids as well, and truly, I never get tired of the excitement and joy those wonderful little people he brought into the world bring into our lives....I shoot photos for them every chance I get, and we absolutely love those kids with all of our heart.  
 
But my relationship with my brother Tony has been different as before I met Jared, we had been single for years together.... so we hung out a lot while my brother Pete was enjoying the joys of married life....  
 
Tony's really been so much to me as a brother in so many different ways.....as many of you know, he's a doctor, but as my doctor, he stood by my side holding my hand after I was airlifted to the hospital after my accident; as tears filled his eyes, he tried to hold it together so I wouldn't be afraid.... He slept at the hospital to make sure I was cared for even though he had worked all day giving and caring for others.... He was my training partner when we were both racing as we grew up; and in fact there are still days where we get up early, run or bike and come home and have a cup of tea together...as teens we'd play foosball until late after family gatherings and laugh our butts off at movies like airplane and the Naked Gun.... and Jared and I actually asked him to officiate our ceremony at our wedding because we knew he loved us both so much....  
 
My dad was a professional photographer when we were children, and I guess that's sort of where I get my love of photos....I'm so excited that as my brother and Heather embarq on their life together with this wonderful new addition to their and our family, I will be able to document that life entering the world from the moment it happens...so lucky to be able to share this love of photography with not only my husband, but also my father and now our family as it continues to grow....  
 
Tony & Heather, we love you guys with all our hearts...can't wait to meet Juliana; hope you enjoy the pics, Love, Trish & Jared

Funny thing, in all my years of shooting, never shot a professional portrait of my brother....

Hard to believe he's the same guy that's squishing my face in this photo insisting I love him.....

Almost every photo I have of me as a baby has him in it....thanks for loving me so much and being such a great brother....

Most friends, family and blog readers know we have an addiction and a bad one, skiing. Summers seem to drift slowly by as we wait each season for the white stuff to fall out of the sky and prepare ourselves for a winter full of playing in the snow. We realize one of our passions revolves around cold, so you might ask why we live in the desert? Hmmm Mt Charleston maybe, or the short drives to the Sierra's and the Wasatch Mountains, regardless we love the white stuff. It's funny how the snow makes the sky bluer, the trees taller, and the breeze cooler, that said we invite you to get out and play in the snow, Have a safe and HAPPY Holiday.
